Mulberry is up on Hawkshead Hill, on the Yewfield Estate. It's an apartment for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bed is a super king size.
The main room is open plan. You've got the bed, a sitting area, and the kitchen all together. The kitchen is fine for making meals. Bifold doors open out onto a deck. The deck gets the sun when it's out. There's also a bathroom with a bath and a separate walk-in shower.
The estate is about 80 acres. You can walk through the woods and meadows down to Hawkshead village. It's about a mile and a half. There's a good vegetarian restaurant on the estate too, and other places to stay if you're with a bigger group.
You're well placed for getting around. Coniston Water and Windermere are both about three miles by car. There are walks straight from the door. For more organised walking, the National Trust Lake District site has details. Grizedale Forest is close for cycling.
Hawkshead has the usual village shops and pubs. Beatrix Potter's house, Hill Top, is in Near Sawrey, about ten minutes away. The Lake District National Park website is useful for planning.
Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, TV, and all bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a washing machine. The rating is 4 Star.
