Blelham Tarn, the lodge itself, is called Neaum Crag. It's in a little spot called Little Loughrigg, between Ambleside and Coniston.
It's a timber lodge, detached, sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One double, one twin. One bathroom with a shower. There's an open plan living, kitchen and dining area. It's got a woodburning stove which is nice in the evenings. Everything's included – bedding, towels, washing machine. The washer and dryer are actually in a shed outside. There's parking right there and an electric vehicle charger.
The lodge is on a private park, so it's not a big commercial holiday park. It feels quiet. You might see red squirrels or deer around. There's a small swimming pool and a sauna you can book to use at certain times of the year.
The pub is about half a mile away in Skelwith Bridge. It's a proper walkable distance. From the park itself, you can get straight onto some good walks. For a bigger day out, you're right between Ambleside and Coniston, each about five minutes' drive.
Ambleside has shops, pubs, and a couple of cinemas. From Waterhead pier you can get the ferry across Windermere. Coniston has the lake for swimming, paddleboarding, or hiring a boat. The National Trust has a lot of places nearby, like Wray Castle. For planning walks, the Lake District National Park site is useful.
The lodge is rated 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean. You can bring two dogs. The garden is yours, with a patio and a BBQ.
