This is Alice Howe, it's in Windermere. It's a big house, sleeps fourteen. Seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. So no queues in the morning.
It's a listed building designed by Augustus Pugin. You know, the guy who did the Houses of Parliament. It feels quite grand inside. Four poster beds, that sort of thing. It's got a 4 Star rating.
There's a cinema room, a games room, and a private hot tub at the back. The garden is yours. We've got parking for six cars.
It's good for a big family get-together. Also works for a group of friends, as we've added more single beds. It's sometimes booked for upmarket stag or hen weekends. The train and bus station are very close, just around the corner, which is handy if people are coming by public transport.
You can also book it with some of the neighbouring houses if you need even more space.
Facilities: everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, wood burning stove. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to four dogs.
You're in Windermere, so you're right in the middle of the Lakes. You can walk down to the lake itself. For wider planning, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and the National Trust looks after a lot of the local land and houses.
