Brock Cottage
Brock Cottage is in Broughton in Furness. It's a 1750s cottage in a cobbled courtyard, which is nice and quiet. You get two areas to sit outside, one in the courtyard and one at the back. The back one looks over gardens towards Broughton Tower parkland. They both get the sun at different times.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. It's an old cottage, so mind your head in a couple of doorways. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase.
You're right in the town. There's a shop, a bakery, a butcher, and a couple of pubs about 200 yards away. You can easily walk for a meal in the evening. One pub does food.
For getting out, you're well placed. The Duddon Valley starts here. Coniston Water is about a ten minute drive. Windermere and Ambleside are within half an hour. The coast at places like Greenodd and Bardsea is very close, maybe five or ten minutes in the car.
If you've brought bikes, there's storage. The cottage has a woodburner, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
