Cartmel Place is a flat in the middle of Cartmel village, overlooking the square. It's new, converted as a holiday let last year. It sleeps six across three bedrooms.
Two of the bedrooms are on the first floor with a shower room between them. Both beds are super king-size and can be split into twins if you need that. The third bedroom and the main bathroom, which has a bath, are upstairs on the same floor as the living area.
The living area is upstairs too, so you go in at ground level and then walk up. There's a large, open plan kitchen, dining and living room at the front with big windows looking over the square. It's a good spot for watching the village. There's a wood burner, which is nice in the cooler months.
Cartmel is a small, medieval village. Everything is on your doorstep: the priory, shops, a couple of excellent restaurants, and a few good pubs. The racecourse is a short walk away through the woods. It's a very quiet place, but not remote.
Grange-over-Sands is about two miles away, on the coast. It's a nice spot for a flat walk along the promenade. The southern Lake District is within easy reach. Bowness and Windermere are about a twenty minute drive. Ambleside is maybe thirty minutes. You can get to the coast at Morecambe Bay in under half an hour.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well finished and comfortable. No pets, I'm afraid.
