Bell Hill Cottage is a ground floor apartment in Lindale. It's for two people and you can bring one dog. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable, it's not just basic.
The place is big for a one-bed. It's a period property so the rooms are large. There's a separate living room, dining room, and kitchen. The double bedroom is up two small steps from the living room. The sofa in the living room is a sofa bed if you need it, but it's really meant for two.
You go out through a small utility area to a private, enclosed courtyard with a table and chairs. There are some steps up from there to a small garden.
The village pub is about a five-minute walk. Decent food. The nearest shop is two miles away in Grange-over-Sands.
Grange is just down the road, about two miles. It's a quiet Edwardian town on the coast with a nice promenade, shops and cafes. The actual sea beach there is shingle, but for sand you can drive to Roanhead or Humphrey Head. Cartmel is four miles away. Famous for the races, the priory, and its sticky toffee pudding.
You're right at the edge of the Lakes here. It's about a ten-minute drive to get into the southern fells. Newby Bridge and the Lakes Aquarium are close. Windermere is 13 miles, Kendal 12, Coniston about 20. Grizedale Forest is nearby too, for walking or mountain biking.
For planning, the main sites are Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
Included in the place: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, cot and highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside and a store for bikes.
