Bell Hill Cottage

Bell Hill Cottage is a ground floor apartment in Lindale. It's a period place, so the rooms are big for a one-bed. You've got your own separate living room, dining room, and kitchen. The bedroom is up two small steps.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. It sleeps two, but the sofa bed in the living room is there if you need it for an extra guest or a child. One dog is welcome.

Outside, there's a private courtyard with furniture. A few steps lead up to a small garden area.

The village pub is about a five-minute walk. It's handy if you fancy a drink or some food and don't want to drive. The closest shop is two miles away in Grange-over-Sands.

Location is the main thing. You're on the southern edge of the Lakes. It takes about ten minutes to drive to the start of the Lake District proper at Newby Bridge, where the Lakes Aquarium is. Cartmel, with its famous sticky toffee pudding and the racecourse, is about four miles. Grange-over-Sands, the little seaside town, is two miles.

From here, Windermere is about half an hour's drive, and Coniston is a bit further. Kendal is 12 miles away if you need a bigger town or the leisure centre.

For walking, you can get to the Cartmel and Grange area easily, or drive into Grizedale Forest. There's a golf course within a couple of miles. The coast is close too. There's a pebble beach at Humphrey Head, and the sandy beach at Roanhead is about a 20-minute drive.

Facilities included are bedding, towels, WiFi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
