This is Byways. It’s on a quiet lane in Cartmel village. It’s a traditional cottage, so it's got the old beams and stone walls you'd expect.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms. One with a double bed, the other has bunk beds. There’s one bathroom, which is a shower room on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The stairs are a bit steep, and there's a door at the bottom which is handy if you've got little ones. The kitchen is fairly new and has a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. There's a storage area out the back that's okay for bikes.
You're right in the middle of the village. The shop and a few pubs are a minute's walk away. Cartmel Priory is just there. The racecourse is nearby if that's your thing.
It's a good spot for getting out. Grange-over-Sands is about ten minutes by car. The Lake District fells are maybe half an hour's drive, depending on traffic. Morecambe Bay and the coast are close too.
For facilities, it's all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
