The Coach House is in Yealand Redmayne. It's on our smallholding, right where Lancashire meets Cumbria. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. You can bring two dogs. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
The garden is yours to use. It gets the sun in the evening and looks onto the old stables. We have swallows nest here from April onwards.
You're in the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The local pubs in Yealand and Silverdale are good. Arnside has a chip shop and a little supermarket.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Lake District. RSPB Leighton Moss is a short drive away for birdwatching. You can walk to the coast at Arnside or Silverdale in about half an hour. Morecambe Bay is there, so check the tide times.
Kirkby Lonsdale is a nice market town about 20 minutes by car. Kendal is about the same, for bigger shops. The M6 motorway is close if you need to get somewhere fast.
The stairs inside are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steeper than modern ones. The living area is open plan. We've also got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
If you're here with a bigger group, we have other cottages on the same site: The Dairy and Corner Cottage.
