Rose Garden Cottage
Rose Garden Cottage is in Ackenthwaite, which is a small village about five minutes drive from the main road into Milnthorpe.
It's a regular cottage. Sleeps five, three bedrooms. It's got the bathroom upstairs and a small toilet downstairs. The rating is 4 Star. It's been done up recently so it's comfortable and things work properly.
The living area is all open plan downstairs. There's a wood burner, which is good for cooler evenings. The kitchen looks out the back over fields. You can see St. Anthony's Tower from the garden.
The garden is enclosed, with a patio and a bit of lawn. There's space for two cars off the road at the front.
In the village, there's a local pub. For shops and other things, Milnthorpe is very close. They've got supermarkets, a couple of takeaways, and other pubs. Levens Hall is nearby if you want to see the gardens.
You're at the southern edge of the Lakes here. It's about half an hour's drive to get into the middle of things, to Windermere or Ambleside. If you go the other way, Ingleton and the Yorkshire Dales are also about half an hour away.
For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
