The Hydaway
The Hydaway is a two bedroom apartment in Bowness on Windermere. It sleeps four. It's been done up recently so everything's clean and works. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main bedroom looks out at the fells. The second bedroom has twin beds. There's one bathroom, which is new. The living area is open plan with a sofa, a dining table and a TV. You can see the lake from the window.
It's right in the middle of Bowness. You can walk to the shops, cafes and the lake promenade in a minute. There's parking, which is handy.
From the front, you're a couple of minutes from the piers for the Windermere lake cruises. They go to Ambleside and Lakeside. The World of Beatrix Potter is here in the village too. The old cinema in Bowness is nice if you get a wet afternoon.
For walking, you're right on the edge of everything. Good walks start from the door. If you drive, Grasmere village is about twenty minutes away. You can visit Wordsworth's grave there and the gingerbread shop is famous. Keswick is just over half an hour, and you can get to Ullswater or Coniston Water in about the same time.
For facilities, it's got the basics: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's no garden. Sorry, no pets.
