Lakeland Villa is a ground floor apartment in Bowness. It's part of a Victorian villa, so you get the high ceilings and the big bay window. The view from that window is of the lake. It's a proper Lake District view.
It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms. One bed can be split into two singles if you need that. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs with a bath, and one downstairs with a walk-in shower. The stairs down to that shower are a bit steep, just so you know.
The living room has the wood burner, which is great for cooler evenings. There's a small piano in there too, if anyone plays. The kitchen is at the back and has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher and a washing machine.
Outside the front, there's a small west-facing garden area with a table and chairs. You can sit out there and watch the sunset over the lake.
It's a few minutes' walk down into the centre of Bowness. You can get a boat from there, or just wander by the water. For walking, you're right on the edge of town so you can be on a footpath in no time.
Within about half an hour you can be in Ambleside, Grasmere, or Hawkshead. The National Trust looks after a lot of the land and houses around here, so their site is useful for planning. The official Lake District National Park site is good for maps and advice too.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi, and parking for one car on the drive. No pets, I'm afraid.
