Beeches is on the edge of Bowness on Windermere. It's down a quiet, wooded lane. You have to go up some external steps to get to the front door.
Inside, there's one main living space with the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area all together. There's a wood burner which keeps it cosy. There's a recliner chair as well as the sofa.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms: one king size, one with twin beds, and a single. They all look out onto the trees. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The location is the main thing.
You're on the quiet side of Bowness. It's about a twenty minute walk down into the town centre if you want the shops and the lake shore. For a proper walk, the Dales Way path is about half a mile from the door.
Obviously you're right in the middle of the Lake District. Windermere lake is there for boats and cruises. National Trust Lake District has good information for days out. Wray Castle is a short drive away, or you can walk to it from Ferry House if you get the ferry across the lake.
For facilities: there's a wood burner, a patio with furniture, parking for one car, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
