Quaysiders Club G

Quaysiders Club G is a two-bedroom apartment in Ambleside, at Waterhead. It sleeps four. The location is the main thing. It's right opposite the Ambleside pier, so you're looking out at Lake Windermere.

It's part of a larger block of 18 apartments around a courtyard. You get allocated either a ground floor place with a small patio, or a first floor one with a small balcony, when you arrive. They're all decorated the same inside. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped, not basic.

Inside is open plan. There's a living area with a sofa bed, a dining table, and a TV. The kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge, and dishwasher. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. One double bedroom and one twin.

The on-site facilities are a good bonus. There's a shared swimming pool, a sauna, and a whirlpool.

For getting out, you can walk straight from the door. Stockghyll Force waterfall is a good walk. Wansfell is there if you want a proper hill. Or you can just cross the road and get on the steamer boats from the pier. They go to Bowness and Lakeside.

By car, Grasmere and Windermere town are about ten minutes. Great Langdale is maybe 15 minutes away for more serious walking. The Lake District National Park site has all the route information.

Ambleside town centre is a ten-minute walk. There are shops, pubs, and cafes there. At Waterhead itself, right by you, there are also a few bars and restaurants. Hayes Garden World is just up the road if you need anything for the apartment or just fancy a look.

In terms of what's included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, parking on site. There's a cot and highchair available. No pets.
