Quaysiders Club A
This is Quaysiders Club A in Ambleside. It’s one of 18 apartments round a courtyard. You’ll be allocated either a ground or first floor one when you arrive.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: one double, one twin, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. There’s also a double sofa bed in the living area if you need it. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean and modern.
The living space is open plan, with a kitchen that has an oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher. Ground floor apartments have a small patio, first floor ones have a small balcony. Both have a table and chairs.
On site, there’s a shared swimming pool, a sauna and a whirlpool. There’s parking too.
The location is the main thing. It’s at Waterhead, opposite Ambleside Pier. You can see the lake from here. The Windermere steamers leave from just across the road, going to Bowness and Lakeside. Ambleside town centre is about a ten minute walk away. There’s a cluster of pubs and shops at Waterhead itself.
For walking, you can start from the door to Stockghyll Falls or Wansfell. Great Langdale is a short drive away, which is a popular start for the fells. Grasmere and Windermere town are both close.
