Seashell Haven is in Beadnell. It's single storey, so there are no stairs. That makes it easier for some people. There's parking on the gravel area outside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one is a king, one has twin beds. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It’s a 4 Star place, which means it’s recently been done up to a decent standard. It’s tidy and works well.
You walk into the main living area. It’s open plan, so the kitchen, dining and sitting room are all one space. It leads through to a conservatory, which is nice for a bit of extra light. The garden is enclosed, which is handy. It’s lawned.
You can walk to the beach from here. Beadnell Bay is good for swimming and surfing. The village has a pub and a cafe, all within walking distance.
Seahouses is a couple of miles up the road. You can get boat trips to the Farne Islands from there. The boats run from the harbour. Good for birdwatching and seals.
Ten minutes drive gets you to Bamburgh. The castle is there. Alnwick is about twenty minutes inland. The castle and gardens are worth a visit if you’ve never been.
Facilities: it’s got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. The whole place is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. There’s a wet room shower. No pets.
