Miller's Cottage is in North Sunderland, which is basically Seahouses. It's a converted granary on the edge of the old village. Sleeps five, three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got the four star rating so it's in good order, everything works.
The layout is over three floors. The kitchen and dining area is on the ground floor, it's a decent size and has everything you'd need. There's a door out to the back courtyard there. The living room is on the first floor, with a single bedroom and the main bathroom on that level too. Then the last two bedrooms are up another flight of stairs on the top floor. One has its own shower room. Both of those rooms have a glimpse of the sea, which is nice.
The stairs are what you'd expect. They're not Victorian-staircase steep, but they are cottage stairs.
You can walk down into Seahouses harbour in about ten minutes. That's where you get the boat trips out to the Farne Islands. The beach is just the other side of the harbour. Being this close to the old part of the village, it's quiet, but you've got the pubs and fish and chip shops a short stroll away.
Bamburgh Castle is about ten minutes by car. The beach there is massive. Holy Island, Lindisfarne, is maybe twenty-five minutes, but you have to check the tide times for the crossing. The whole coast is good for walking. The Northumberland Coast site has maps and details. For the islands and the castle, it's worth looking at the National Trust pages.
Facilities are all there: wifi, parking on site, washing machine, dishwasher. We can provide a cot and highchair. The garden is that courtyard at the back. It gets some sun. We accept up to two dogs.
