Cobblestone Cottage

Cobblestone Cottage is in North Sunderland. That's the bit just before you get into Seahouses proper. It's a semi-detached stone cottage, sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both upstairs, and two bathrooms which is handy. One's a shower room downstairs.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well kept and comfortable. The living room and kitchen are open plan, and the doors go out to a small patio garden. It gets the sun. There's parking right outside.

The place is set up for a straightforward stay. Washing machine, WiFi, TV, all that. They leave some nice toiletries and a welcome basket. There are books and games if you need them. It's wheelchair friendly to get in, but the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are standard cottage stairs.

You can have up to two dogs. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them.

You can walk into Seahouses in a few minutes. The harbour's there, and the beach. Good fish and chips. The pubs are what you'd expect. From there, you can walk along to Bamburgh beach, past the golf course. It's a great beach. Bamburgh Castle is the obvious thing to see. Bamburgh Castle.

For birdwatching, Budle Bay is just north of Bamburgh. Alnwick is about a fifteen minute drive inland. The castle and the gardens are the main draw. Alnwick Garden.

The whole coast is good for walking. You're right on the edge of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For planning, the Northumberland Coast AONB site is useful. If you want to go a bit further, Holy Island is about half an hour's drive, depending on the tide times.
