Fishers Cottage is in Seahouses, in a little cul-de-sac with a few houses like it. It's semi-detached, and the garden is enclosed.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. The bathroom is a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.
The kitchen is a decent size for holiday cooking. There's a garage attached which we use for a washing machine and tumble dryer, and there are some games and outdoor toys in there. It handier than it sounds.
You can walk into Seahouses in a few minutes. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and takeaways. The harbour is where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands.
Useful link for boat trips and booking: National Trust Farne Islands.
Bamburgh is about two miles up the road. The castle is there, and the beach is huge. You can see Holy Island from there sometimes.
Holy Island itself is about a 15-minute drive away, but you have to check the tide times to cross the causeway.
The golf course is on the links just outside the village. The horse riding place is very close, just at the end of the lane.
Alnwick is about a 20-minute drive inland. The castle and the gardens are worth a visit if the weather's mixed.
The place has parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's WiFi and a TV, and a dishwasher.
