Spring Tides

Spring Tides is my place in Beadnell. It’s a semi-detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac. We did it all up a few years ago.

It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one shower room upstairs. It’s got a 4 Star rating. Everything works, it’s clean and comfortable.

The living room is open plan. There’s a conservatory on the back which leads out to the garden. The garden is enclosed and has steps down to the edge of the old quarry, which is full of water. You get a lot of birds out there.

The beach is about a five minute walk. It’s sandy but has some rocks. You can walk all the way along it to Seahouses, which is a couple of miles north. Beadnell beach itself is good for kitesurfing and that sort of thing, about a fifteen minute stroll.

There’s a shop and a pub 200 yards away. The pub does food.

Seahouses is two miles up the coast. That’s where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands, which are great for puffins and seals. There are more places to eat and shop there too.

Bamburgh is another three miles past Seahouses. You can see Holy Island from the beach there. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about a twenty minute drive inland.

For facilities, you’ve got a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
