The Den

The Den is on our farm in Brownieside. It's a detached cabin in its own paddock. You look out over the fields to the sea. It's very quiet here.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one shower room. It has a 4 Star rating. It's well insulated with underfloor heating, so it's cosy. There's a smart TV and wifi. The kitchen has what you'd need. All bedding and towels are included.

Outside, there's a big deck with a table, chairs, a barbecue and a firepit. You're welcome to walk around the farm tracks. There's a pond down the hill.

The coast is about four miles away. Embleton and Beadnell Bay are good for beaches. You can walk from Craster past Dunstanburgh Castle to Low Newton-by-the-Sea. That's a nice one.

Seahouses is a bit further up the coast. You can get boat trips from there to the Farne Islands to see the birds and seals. They have pubs and fish and chips there too.

Bamburgh with its castle is about ten miles north. Alnwick, with its castle and gardens, is about seven miles inland. You can be in the Northumberland National Park or up into the Scottish Borders within half an hour.

Facilities: it's all electric, with parking right next to it. No pets, sorry. The shop is in Ellingham, about four miles. The nearest pub and restaurant are about six miles away in Craster or Seahouses.
