Rock Farm House Alnwick

Rock Farm House is a detached stone house on the edge of the village of Rock. It's a bit north of Alnwick. It’s got two acres of private garden and woodland around it. It’s very quiet up here, not overlooked.

The house sleeps twelve. Six bedrooms, all doubles. There’s a bathroom attached to each bedroom, which is handy. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It was all done up a couple of years ago, so everything’s clean and works as it should.

The kitchen is large and has a table that seats everyone. There’s a big TV and WiFi in the lounge, and a wood burner. Good for a group.

Rock itself has a decent pub with food, about a five minute walk down the lane. For bigger shops, you’d drive into Alnwick, which is about ten minutes away. They’ve got the castle and the famous bookshop.

The coast is about a ten minute drive. You’ve got Alnmouth, which is a sandy estuary, then up towards Howick and Craster. It’s all part of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can walk a lot of it.

Bamburgh Castle is about half an hour north. You can see Holy Island from there. Dunstanburgh Castle from Craster is about twenty minutes by car.

For facilities: it says most things in the list. Washing machine, dishwasher, parking for a few cars. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There’s a cot and a highchair if needed.
