Potters Pad

Potters Pad is in Alnwick town centre. It's an apartment on the first floor of an old malthouse. There's a lift if you need it. You can walk to the shops and pubs in a couple of minutes.

It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, one bathroom. The living area is all open plan. There's a small patio garden out the back via some doors.

The stairs inside the apartment are fine. The building itself can be a bit echoey, being an old conversion, so you might hear other doors closing sometimes.

Alnwick Castle is the big attraction. It's a proper working castle and they used it for Hogwarts in the films. The gardens are separate and are really something, with the big treehouse and the cascade. Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden have all the details for tickets.

The coast is about four miles east at Alnmouth. Good beach there. Heading west gets you into the hills pretty quickly. Rothbury and the Simonside Hills are about a twenty minute drive.

For a wider trip, the whole Northumberland coast is worth it. Northumberland Coast AONB has information. The Cheviots are inland if you want proper walking.

Facilities: there's parking for one car round the back, WiFi, a dishwasher, and bedding is included. You can bring two dogs. The building is wheelchair accessible, including the lift to the apartment door.
