Sea View
Sea View is in Shilbottle. It's a stone terraced cottage on the edge of the village. You can see the sea in the distance from the front windows.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean but not modern luxury. There's a multi-fuel burner in the living room. The stairs are normal cottage stairs.
The kitchen is a decent size. You get on-site parking, which is useful. There's a washing machine and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair.
There's a shop, a post office, and a pharmacy about half a mile away. The local pub is a mile. There's an Indian restaurant and takeaway about the same distance.
You're about four miles from Alnwick and four from Alnmouth. Alnwick has everything: shops, pubs, a cinema. Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden are there. Alnmouth is a nice coastal village with places to eat and a beach.
For walking, you're close to the Northumberland Coast. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Warkworth and Amble are a short drive away. From Amble, you can get boat trips to see the birds on Coquet Island.
If you like golf, there's a 9-hole course at Alnmouth and an 18-hole one at Foxton. The Cheviot Hills are about half an hour west if you want different scenery.
