Kittiwake is a townhouse on the old harbour in Amble. You get the views across the marina towards Warkworth Castle from the front and the back of the house.
It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's properly equipped and finished to a high standard. Everything feels new.
You're right in the middle of things here. The front door opens onto the harbour wall. You can walk into the town centre in two minutes. There are good bakeries, cafes, and pubs. The Sunday market is popular.
The back has a small patio area. It gets the sun in the evening and you can watch the boats on the marina.
Amble is a working harbour. People are friendly. You can buy fresh fish and crabs from the huts on the quayside. Coquet Island, which is a bird sanctuary, is just offshore.
The beach is a few minutes' walk. For a longer walk, you can follow the coastal path south to Warkworth along the river. The castle there is good to look around. Warkworth is also about a five-minute drive.
Further afield, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a twenty-minute drive. The Northumberland Coast is all an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Up the coast, Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle, and Bamburgh are all within half an hour. The Northumberland National Park and stretches of Hadrian's Wall are about an hour's drive inland.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking for one car right outside. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two dogs.
