The Willows is in Red Row, which is a small village a few miles south of Amble. It’s an attached cottage, all on one floor. It sleeps eight, so it’s a decent size.
You’ve got four bedrooms: two doubles and two twins. There are two bathrooms as well, one’s a shower room. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and has everything you need.
The living room goes through to a conservatory. That looks out over the garden at the back. The garden’s a good size and it’s fully enclosed, which is handy. The dining kitchen is fine. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
We take up to three dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site.
The nearest shop and pub is about a mile away in the next village. Amble itself is only a few minutes in the car. It’s a proper working harbour, so you can get fresh fish and chips. The coast path is nearby if you want a walk along the beach.
Within about half an hour you’ve got a lot of the main Northumberland sights. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are that way. So is the castle at Warkworth. The beaches at Druridge Bay are very close. If you head north, you’ve got all of the coast up to Bamburgh and Holy Island.
