Marine Cottage is in Amble. It's a mid-terraced stone cottage. You're about a minute's walk from the harbour. From the front door you can see the green that leads down to the sea.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable and recently done up. You get a small enclosed patio garden at the back. Pets are allowed.
The stairs are fairly steep, as you'd expect in an old cottage. There's a washing machine, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included.
A shop, a fish and chip shop, and an ice cream place are literally a few steps away. The harbour is less than 200 yards. From there you can book boat trips out to Coquet Island and the Farne Islands to see puffins and seals. The local beach is small and rocky, with views out to Coquet Island.
For walks, you're right on the Northumberland Coast Path. The whole coastline here is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Alnwick Castle is about a 15 minute drive. The beaches at Druridge Bay and Cresswell are within 20 minutes. If you want to go further, Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands departure point at Seahouses are roughly half an hour away by car.
