Marine Cottage
Marine Cottage is in Amble. It's a stone terraced house, mid-row, about a minute's walk from the small green that leads down to the sea.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well kept and comfortable. It's not huge, but it's got everything you need.
You're straight onto the main street. There's a shop almost next door, and a very good fish and chip shop just across the road. An ice cream place is there too. The harbour is less than five minutes walk.
The beach is small and a bit rocky, but you get a clear view out to Coquet Island. You can see puffins and seals out there sometimes. Boat trips to the island and the Farne Islands leave from the harbour.
The Northumberland Coast is all right there for walking. It's a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can walk south to Warkworth and its castle, or north up the coast. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a 20 minute drive away.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, a small enclosed patio out the back, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
