Willow Cottage
Willow Cottage is a bungalow in Red Row. It's semi-detached, but you get your own enclosed garden out the back. Everything is on one floor, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after. The doors are standard height, but mind your head on the beam in the kitchen. It's not low, you just notice it.
The place is spacious. There's an open plan living area, a washing machine, and parking right outside. We include the bedding. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs.
There's a small social club about 150 yards away. For a shop, a pub, and a restaurant, you need to go about a mile into the village.
The coast is very close. Druridge Bay Country Park is practically on the doorstep. You can walk to the beach from there. Hauxley Nature Reserve is a short drive away if you like birdwatching. The Northumberland Coastal Path runs through here.
Alnwick is about a twenty minute drive. That's where the castle and the famous gardens are. Amble is a few minutes the other way, for shops and the harbour. Seahouses, for the boats to the Farne Islands, is maybe half an hour away. You've got Bamburgh Castle and Warkworth Castle within that sort of drive too.
