This is High Haven, in Amble. It's a two bedroom place, sleeps four. We've got the 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
You're right in the middle of the village. The harbour, shops, and a few pubs are a minute's walk away. The beach is about half a mile.
Inside, it's all on two floors. Downstairs is the living room and kitchen. Upstairs has the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The bathroom has both a walk-in shower and a bath. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep.
Outside, there's a small enclosed patio at the back. It gets the sun in the evening. We leave a cot and highchair there if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome, but we ask that they aren't left alone in the cottage or allowed on the furniture.
From here, you can walk to Warkworth along the river. It's about two miles. Warkworth Castle is worth seeing. English Heritage have the details.
Driving north, you've got Craster, Seahouses, and Bamburgh all within about half an hour. Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden are about 15 minutes inland. The council site has Alnwick Garden info.
If you want to go further, Newcastle is under an hour's drive. The train from Alnmouth can get you to Edinburgh, Newcastle, or York.
