Old Colliery Cottage is on the edge of Shilbottle village. It's one of three cottages together, but it's detached. You get your own garden. It's quite sunny out there.
The cottage sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's all on one level, so there aren't any stairs to worry about. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
There's a pub about a mile away in the village. The coast at Alnmouth is about four miles east. It's a nice beach for a walk. Alnwick is about four miles the other way. That's where the castle is. You can visit Alnwick Castle and the gardens if that's your sort of thing.
If you drive for about half an hour up the coast, you get to places like Seahouses. You can get boat trips from there out to the Farne Islands to see the seabirds. Bamburgh Castle is a bit further on.
The whole coastline here is protected. It's a Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good for long walks.
Facilities wise: there's parking, wifi, bedding and towels are provided. You can bring one dog. The bathroom has one of those old-fashioned freestanding baths.
