Church View

It's called Church View. It's semi-detached and sits right next to St Paul's Church in Alnwick. You get the view of it from the front windows. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got a dog or kids.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One is an en-suite shower off the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are normal for a house like this.

You're a few minutes' walk from the town centre. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about 300 yards away. You've got your own parking space on site, which is a plus in the town. There's also an electric vehicle charger.

Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden are the big local attractions, both within walking distance. The castle is the Duke of Northumberland's place. The gardens are massive, with the treehouse restaurant and the big cascade. Details are on their sites: Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden.

You're well placed for getting out. The coast is about four miles east. It's a Heritage Coastline and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Heading west, you're into the Cheviot Hills around Rothbury in about half an hour.

Inside, there's a living/dining room and a conservatory that looks onto the garden. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. It's set up for families. There's bike storage if you need it.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. They're allowed downstairs but not on the furniture or in the bedrooms.

For planning days out, Northumberland National Park and Northumberland Coast AONB have good information.
