Cobbler's Cottage is in Alnwick town centre, just behind the market square. It's a stone cottage, one of a pair down a little lane called Correction House. You go through an archway to get to it. It's quiet back there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It got a full refurb a few years ago so it's in good order. It's a 4 Star place. One of the beds has a memory foam topper on it.
You've got a small enclosed patio out the back. It's not huge, but it's your own space. Inside, the living area is open plan on the ground floor. There's a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The town is right on your doorstep. Shops, cafes, the lot. The pub's a two minute walk. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about a ten minute walk. That's the big one with the treehouse and the poison garden.
You can drive to the coast in under fifteen minutes. Alnmouth beach is the closest, about four miles. For a longer stretch of sand, Druridge Bay is maybe half an hour south.
If you want to go further, the Northumberland National Park is about forty minutes west. Hadrian's Wall is a bit over an hour's drive, places like Housesteads Fort.
