Grosvenor Cottage is in Alnmouth. It's a one-bedroom cottage for two people. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's been done up nicely.
The place is small, as you'd expect. One bedroom upstairs, a shower room downstairs. The shower is a walk-in one, which is good. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, like in a lot of these cottages.
You can park on the street. Sometimes you can get a space right opposite. There are shops, pubs, cafes, and a post office about twenty-five yards away. The beach and the golf course are a two-minute walk.
For things to do, you're in a good spot. You can walk the coast path right from the village. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about seven miles away. Amble Harbour is five miles. If you drive for half an hour you can get to Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle, or Seahouses. Boat trips to the Farne Islands go from Seahouses if you want to see the puffins and seals. Holy Island is accessible by causeway when the tide is out.
It has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
