Youngers Cottage
Youngers Cottage is in Warkworth, right by the river. It's a stone cottage and it's very quiet there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. It's open plan downstairs with a woodburning stove.
There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The WiFi works. We accept one dog.
The village has shops and pubs a short walk away. You can walk along the river from the door. The beach is sandy and about half a mile away. It runs for miles up to Alnmouth.
In summer, you can hire boats on the river here. It's a good way to see the place. From Amble, which is nearby, you can get boat trips for sea fishing or to see the birds on Coquet Island.
Warkworth Castle is right in the village. It's an English Heritage site. The Northumberland Coast Path goes through here. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a 15 minute drive. For a bigger beach day, Drive to Bamburgh or up to Holy Island, but check the tide times for that one. They're all within half an hour.
