Rose Cottage
Rose Cottage is in Acklington, Northumberland. It's a single-storey stone cottage attached to a couple of others on the side of a small caravan site. It sleeps two, one bedroom with an en-suite shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean.
The cottage is open plan. There's a wood burner for the winter, which works well. There's a patio and garden area for sitting out. It's pet friendly. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a washing machine. Parking is on site.
You're about four miles from the coast. Druridge Bay Country Park is three miles away, good for a walk. The beach at Amble is about four miles, a proper sandy beach with a harbour and places to eat. Warkworth is close too, three miles, with a castle and a nice high street.
For days out, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about ten miles away. Holy Island is further, about 34 miles, so you need to check the tide times. Newcastle is 27 miles south if you want a city trip. To the west, you've got Kielder Water and Hadrian's Wall, but they're a decent drive.
There's a shop three miles away. A pub is about a mile down the road, and a restaurant is three and a half miles.
