Katy's No 6

Katy's No 6 is a ground-floor apartment in Amble. It's ours, we've done it up. It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It has a 4 Star rating.

The main bedroom has a double bed made locally from mahogany. There's a safe in the wardrobe if you need it. The place is warm and dry.

You're about a five minute walk from the harbour and the town centre. There's a supermarket close by, and local butchers and bakers. The Sunday market at the harbour is good for fresh food. The little shopping pods by the water are worth a look.

The garden is enclosed, which is handy. There's a patio area. Parking is on the street outside.

Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.

You can walk to the beach in about fifteen minutes. For a longer walk, the path along the estuary to Warkworth is nice. It's about two miles. You'll see the castle as you get close. Warkworth has a couple of decent pubs and cafes.

If you're driving, Alnwick and its castle are about twenty minutes south. Craster is about twenty minutes north up the coast. From there you can walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. Seahouses and Bamburgh are a bit further on. The whole coastline is good.
