Dairy Cottage

Dairy Cottage is in Warkworth. It's attached to the main farmhouse, which is listed. The stone is original, from 1802. Our bit was built later as servants' quarters. We've had it since 1989.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are standard cottage stairs.

The garden is a good spot. It's enclosed and private, with a patio. You get a view over the fields towards the sea and Coquet Island. It's quiet.

The local shop and a pub are about three quarters of a mile away. Warkworth itself is a nice village with a castle and a beach. The coast path is right there for walking.

Alnwick is about a twenty minute drive. That's where Alnwick Castle and the gardens are. Amble harbour is ten minutes away. For a longer trip, the Northumberland National Park or Holy Island are within an hour.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a stairgate if you need one. No pets, I'm afraid.
