Dairy Cottage is attached to the main farmhouse here. It used to be the servants' quarters for the big house, which was a working farm for the Duke a long time ago. We've owned it since '89. It's stone-built. You get your own bit of garden and a patio, which is enclosed. It's quiet, and you look out over fields towards the sea.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, just so you know. There's a stairgate at the top.
For facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. Parking is right there. There's a BBQ you can use. Sorry, no pets.
The local shop and a couple of pubs are about three quarters of a mile away in Warkworth village. It's a nice walk down the lane. The castle is there, which is worth a look. The beach at Amble is just a couple of miles down the road.
You're well placed for the coast. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about twenty minutes by car. For a good walk, Druridge Bay is nearby, or you can go a bit further up to Bamburgh. Holy Island is about a forty-five minute drive, but check the tide times.
