Seaside Retreat is a house in Amble. It's on a street near the harbour. It's a standard terraced house, not a show home. You can walk to everything.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's fine for a wheelchair to get in the front door, but the bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs.
The back yard is south facing, so it gets the sun. It's fully enclosed so it's safe for dogs. We accept up to two pets.
Amble harbour is a two minute walk. There are benches to sit and watch the boats. Plenty of places for fish and chips or an ice cream. The pier is good for a walk, especially at sunset.
You can walk along the river to Warkworth in about 45 minutes. The castle is there, and a couple of nice pubs. In the other direction along the coast, you've got Craster for kippers, then Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands, then Bamburgh with its big castle. All that's within half an hour's drive.
Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a 15 minute drive. The train station at Alnmouth is 10 minutes away if you want a day out in Newcastle or Edinburgh.
The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.
