Bede's Rest
Bede's Rest is in Amble, Northumberland. It's a three bedroom place that sleeps up to seven.
The house is modern inside. It's got two bathrooms which helps with a full group. There's a small enclosed courtyard out the back with a fire pit and seating. Handy for a barbecue if the weather's right.
It’s about a four minute walk to the beach. The town itself is small. The harbour’s nice. They do a Sunday market there. There are a couple of good fish and chip shops nearby, and a few restaurants.
You can walk to Warkworth from Amble along the river. It takes about forty minutes. The castle there is worth a look. Warkworth Castle information for visiting.
For a day out, Alnwick Castle is about a twenty minute drive. Alnwick Castle. Further north, you've got Lindisfarne, or Holy Island, but you need to check the tide times for the causeway. That's about a forty minute drive from here.
If you like walking, you're on the edge of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Northumberland Coast AONB site has details on routes.

Some of the main attractions inland, like Hadrian's Wall, are about an hour's drive away.
