Bede’s Rest is in the centre of Amble, up in Northumberland. It's a modern house, one of a row. You park in a gated space at the back.
It sleeps seven, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well finished and comfortable. It’s clean and neutral inside.
The back garden is a small, enclosed courtyard. There’s a patio set and a fire pit out there. It’s handy for a morning coffee or an evening drink, but it’s not a big lawn.
You’re about five minutes’ walk from the harbour and the beach. The Sunday market at the harbour is good. There are a couple of decent fish and chip shops right there, and some pod shops. You can get boat trips to Coquet Island from the harbour too.
Warkworth is just over a mile away. You can walk there along the river path. The castle there is impressive. It’s an English Heritage site.
If you want to drive, Alnwick is about 20 minutes. You’ve got Alnwick Castle and the gardens there. The Northumberland National Park and Hadrian’s Wall are about an hour west. The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty starts right on your doorstep.
For facilities, you’ve got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There’s a highchair if you need it.
