Scotswood is a ground floor apartment in Amble. It's just for two people, a one bedroom place. We had it all renovated last year.
It's a 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The main room is big, with the kitchen at one end and the sitting area at the other. The bedroom is a good size too, with a king-size bed. We put in special glass in the bedroom windows to keep the street noise down, so it's quiet.
The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
Amble's a small working harbour town. The locals are friendly. There's a decent pub about three minutes' walk away, and a few restaurants and cafes. The two fish and chip shops by the harbour are very good. There's a Sunday market down there too.
You can walk along the river to Warkworth in about half an hour. It's a nice village with a big castle you can visit. The beach is about a fifteen minute walk from the apartment.
If you're bringing bikes or paddleboards, there's a locked garage you can use to store them.
You can get boat trips from the harbour out to Coquet Island to see the puffins. Alnwick Castle is about a twenty minute drive north. Further up the coast, you've got Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. Just check the tide times for Holy Island before you go.
