Number Eight is a terraced house in Amble, near the harbour. It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, with a shower.
The place is modern inside. It's clean and comfortable, got a 4 Star rating. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a woodburning stove. The TV's there. Bedding and towels are included. There's a small patio area out back.
The stairs are normal house stairs. We've left a stairgate at the top if you need it. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
The good thing is you can walk everywhere. It's two minutes to the harbour. There are cafes and a few seafood places there you can sit outside. There's a pub nearby. On Sundays they have a small market.
If you fancy a walk, you can follow the estuary path to Warkworth, about two miles. It's a nice village with a castle, some shops and pubs. The castle is English Heritage.
Alnwick is a 15-minute drive. That's where Alnwick Castle and the famous gardens are. The castle was in Harry Potter. Up the coast you've got Craster, famous for kippers, and Bamburgh with its huge castle. Holy Island is about a 40-minute drive, but you have to check the tide times to cross the causeway.
For wider planning, the Northumberland National Park site is useful, and so is Northumberland Coast AONB.
