Hidden Gem is in Amble, Northumberland. It's a terrace house on a side street. The name's a bit much, sorry about that, but it is a nice house.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. One double and one single. The single room is fine for a child or another adult. It got a 4 Star rating when it was done up, so it's in good condition. There are two small steps down into the bathroom.
The patio is out the back. It's fully enclosed, so it's private and good if you have a dog. There's a wood burner in the living room. We supply the wood.
The harbour is about a ten minute walk. The Sunday market there is good. You can get boat trips to Coquet Island from the harbour. The two fish and chip shops nearby are both decent. There's a shop and a pub a few minutes walk away.
Warkworth is a nice walk along the river. You can see the castle from parts of Amble. It's a proper castle. Warkworth has a couple of good pubs.
You're on the edge of the Northumberland Coast National Landscape there. The beaches are huge and often empty. Alnwick Castle is about a twenty minute drive. That's the Harry Potter castle. Further north, you've got Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. Check the tide times for Holy Island.
If you head inland, you can get to parts of Hadrian's Wall in under an hour. The Northumberland National Park and the Dark Sky Park are out that way too.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and Sky TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need one. We do allow one well-behaved dog.
