Railway Cottage
This is Railway Cottage in Togston. It's attached to another cottage, which used to be the station building. It looks out onto the old railway line itself, which is grassy now and good for a walk.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, one is downstairs. The main bedroom upstairs has views both ways, you can see the sea in the distance one side and fields the other. There's one bathroom upstairs, it's a good size.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and comfortable, but not a show home. Everything works.
The facilities cover the basics: parking, WiFi, TV, a washing machine. There's a small garden area out the back. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
Amble is a couple of miles away. It's a proper little fishing town with a harbour and some shops. There's a beach there, and also at Alnmouth which is about ten minutes drive south.
You're well placed for a lot of the coast. Warkworth with its castle is very close. The coastal path north towards Craster and Dunstanburgh is excellent walking. For a good day out, Dunstanburgh Castle is dramatic and the walk to it from Craster is great. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is about twenty minutes inland.
