Island View
Island View is in Amble, at the end of a terraced row. It looks out over The Links, which is the bit of grass between the houses and the dunes, towards Coquet Island out in the bay. The view is good, especially when the sun sets behind the island.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's not huge, but it's laid out well so it feels bigger than it is. We keep it clean and tidy.
You can walk into the centre of Amble in a few minutes. It's a proper working harbour town, quite busy. There's a marina, a sandy beach, and shops for what you need. The Sunday market on the harbour is good for a wander. There's a fish restaurant behind the lifeboat station and a well-known ice cream place.
The beach runs north for miles. You can walk for hours. Coquet Island is an RSPB bird sanctuary. Boat trips go out from the harbour, you can see puffins in season. Warkworth village is two miles south, it's pretty with a castle on the hill and a couple of pubs.
Further afield, Alnwick Castle is about a half-hour drive. It's the one from the Harry Potter films. They've got the castle gardens and a big treehouse restaurant too. The whole Northumberland coast is good for walking or cycling.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
