Prudhoe Mews is a ground floor apartment in a big old house in Alnmouth. The house was built back in 1860, apparently for the Duke of Northumberland. It's right in the middle of the village.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The whole place is on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to worry about at all.
You're very close to the water here. It's just a few minutes' walk to the estuary and the beach. The sand is good.
There's a small enclosed patio area out the back for sitting. Parking is on site. The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
Alnmouth has a shop and a couple of pubs within easy walking distance. For more, Alnwick is about four miles away. The castle there is the big one you see on film. Their garden is huge, with all the fountains.
Up the coast, you've got the Farne Islands for boat trips to see seals and puffins. Holy Island, or Lindisfarne, is about a half hour drive. You need to check the tide times for that. Further inland, the Northumberland National Park is great for walking.
