The Alnwick Townhouse is on a street about a five minute walk from the market square. It's a two-up-two-down terrace house, Victorian I think, with a small walled yard out the back.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well inside, it's comfortable. There's an open fireplace in the front room, which is nice.
You're right in the town. Everything is walking distance. There are a few good pubs, a load of cafes, and the usual shops. Barter Books, the secondhand bookshop in the old station, is just up the road. Alnwick Castle is about a ten minute walk. You might know it from the Harry Potter films.
Alnwick Garden is a 15 minute walk. It's a proper formal garden with a big water cascade and the famous treehouse restaurant. There's also a new attraction called Lilidorei for kids, which is nearby.
The coast is about a 20 minute drive. Alnmouth beach is the closest, with dunes and a golf course. You can drive up to Craster for the kippers and walk to Dunstanburgh Castle, or down to Seahouses for the boat trips to the Farne Islands. The whole coast is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the street, you usually find a spot nearby. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
