This is Rosehip Cottage in Alnwick. It's a Victorian terraced house, built from stone like most around here. It's had a full refurbishment inside.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The living room and dining area are in one space with high ceilings and wooden floors. The kitchen is smart and leads out to a small, private patio with seating. It's not a big garden, but it's your own bit of outside.
Alnwick itself is a few minutes' walk away. You've got all the normal town things: shops, pubs, places to eat. The castle is a big draw. It's the Duke of Northumberland's home and they used it for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. The Alnwick Garden is also there, with its big treehouse restaurant and the poison garden. Worth a visit.
From here, you're in a good spot to go either east or west. The Northumberland coast is about five miles away. You can be at Alnmouth or Boulmer beach in under fifteen minutes by car. The coast here is really beautiful and quiet. To the west, you've got the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot hills for walking.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, TV, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels are included. The utilities are in the price. There's a local pub and a golf course nearby. No pets, I'm afraid.
