Bailiffgate
Bailiffgate is a two-bedroom cottage on Bailiffgate in Alnwick. It's not far from the market cross. It’s a terraced stone cottage, part of a short row. You park on the street outside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The owners have done it up well. It’s comfortable and clean. The stairs are steep, as you'd expect. They have zip-and-link beds, so you can have two singles or a super king in each room. You need to ask for that setup when you book.
Inside, there’s a living room with a wood burner. It works. The kitchen is open plan with a dining area. There’s a small drying room out the back for boots and coats, which is useful.
You’re right in the town. There are shops, cafes, and a few pubs within a few minutes' walk. Alnwick Castle is about a five minute walk. That's the Harry Potter castle. The Alnwick Garden is there too, with the big treehouse. It's all very close.
The coast is about five miles east. Alnmouth beach is the closest, then you've got Craster and Bamburgh further north. For walking, the Cheviot hills are about half an hour west.
