Harry's Den
Harry's Den is a little flat in Alnwick. It's just for two people, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
We've just done it up, so it's fresh inside. The living room looks out at the castle walls. The bedroom is a decent size and has a big old fireplace. French doors lead from the bedroom straight into your own little walled courtyard.
The courtyard is south-west facing and fully enclosed. It’s got a table and chairs. There are two steps up to it. It's a quiet spot.
A few practical things: there's a washing machine, bedding and towels are included, and you get free on-street parking with a permit we provide. We also give you a permit for the car park at Alnmouth Beach.
You're right in the town. The shop, a pub, and restaurants are about 50 yards away. Alnwick Castle is literally a minute's walk. For a bigger day out, Alnmouth Beach is about five and a half miles drive, or you can get the bus from the station nearby.
If you're planning trips, the Northumberland Coast National Landscape site is useful, and so is English Heritage for Alnwick Castle. Edinburgh is an hour away by train from Alnmouth station.
