Quill Corner
Quill Corner is an apartment in Alnwick. It's on the first floor of an old detached house. It's set back from the main street, so it's quieter than you'd expect for the centre of town.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well kept. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. You get a king size bed in one room and twins in the other. The bathroom has a bath and a shower.
There's a small hall for coats and boots at the bottom of the stairs. The stairs are fine, just normal for an old house. The living room has a dining area for four and an electric stove. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher and washing machine.
A real plus is the allocated parking spot. That's unusual for somewhere right in the town centre. Shops, pubs, and restaurants are literally a minute's walk away.
Alnwick Castle is the big thing here. It's a proper castle and they used it for some Harry Potter filming. The Alnwick Garden is next to it and worth a visit, especially the tree house restaurant. Both are a short walk from the apartment.
The coast is close. Alnmouth village and its beach are about four miles east. A bit further up the coast, Seahouses is about a 20 minute drive. You can get boat trips to the Farne Islands from there. The beach at Bamburgh, with the castle, is also within easy reach.
For walks, head west to Rothbury. It's at the foot of the Simonside Hills. Holy Island is a drive away too, but you must check the tide times for the crossing.
The apartment has WiFi, TVs, and includes bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets allowed.
