Quill Corner
Quill Corner is in the centre of Alnwick. It's on the first floor of an old house, so you’ve got your own door and then stairs up. There’s a parking space, which is handy for town.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The kitchen is decent, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. The lounge is fine for sitting in. The stairs inside are fine, but they are the original ones so a bit narrow.
You're right in the middle of things. Shops, pubs, and places to eat are literally a minute’s walk. You don’t need to drive if you don't want to.
Alnwick Castle is the big one here. It's a proper castle and they used it for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. The Alnwick Garden is just there too, with its big treehouse and the waterfall. Useful links for planning: Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden.
If you drive, Alnmouth is about four miles east. It's got a good sandy beach. Seahouses is about twenty minutes north. You can get boat trips from the harbour there out to the Farne Islands to see the seals and puffins. The boat trips are run by Billy Shiel's boat trips. Bamburgh Castle is a bit further up the coast.
Facilities: bed linen and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. WiFi is included. No pets.
