This is Holly Cottage in Longhoughton village. It's a stone cottage that I converted. I live next door. You have your own front door through an archway.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. The main bedroom has some original beams. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The living space is all one open room downstairs. There's a wood burning stove. The back garden is enclosed, which is handy if you have a dog.
The village shop is a couple of minutes' walk. The nearest pub is about two miles away. The coast is very close, about a mile to the beach at Boulmer.
Alnwick is ten minutes drive. You've got Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden there. The beaches at Embleton and Alnmouth are about fifteen minutes away.
This is a good spot for the coast. You can walk a stretch of the Northumberland Coast easily. For a longer trip, you're about half an hour from Craster, Bamburgh Castle, or the Cheviot hills.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and the bed linen and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
