Holly Cottage
Holly Cottage is in Longhoughton. It's stone-built, and we live next door. You get in through your own arched doorway.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. That's quite handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-kept.
The living area is open plan and gets a lot of light from the big windows. Upstairs, the main bedroom has some exposed beams. The garden at the back is enclosed, so it's safe for a dog or kids to be out there.
There's a shop about 150 yards away. The nearest pub is two miles. For a beach, Embleton Bay is about five miles drive. It's a great, sandy beach.
Alnwick is four miles away. You've got the castle there, and the Alnwick Garden is worth seeing. There are shops, places to eat, and a playhouse cinema.
You're in a good spot to see the coast or go inland. The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty starts close by. For walking, you can get to the Cheviot hills in under half an hour.
For facilities: it has a woodburning stove, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
